Shipping and Receiving
KBR’s shipping and receiving team includes logistics professionals and certified property specialists who provide expertise in managing OEM, R&O and ETS requirements. KBR provides receipt of property at the loading dock and processes all required documentation. The team performs all required shipping activities, including the coordination with freight carriers and confirmation that the receipt of property is received in accordance with receiving procedures, including inspection, counts and the creation of SAP records. The team also performs daily, weekly and monthly duties and tasks, including:
- Scanning, documenting, filing, reviewing, updating, shipping and processing
- Coordinating final procedures and arranging shipments in accordance with documented, contractual requirements, carrier regulations and the site’s shipping procedures
- Managing the lost, damaged or misdirected shipments of property in accordance with the site’s receiving procedures
- Receiving process and route classified, sensitive or hazardous property per the customer’s receiving instructions and required timeframes
- Verifying the accuracy of materials or items shipped with information provided by various shipping documents
- Coordinating the final procedures and arranging for shipments in accordance with documented, contractual requirements and carrier regulations
Warehousing and Distribution

This adaptability ensures that KBR can meet the unique needs of each customer, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for all individual customer assets. Staging/Kitting
Staging/kitting is a crucial part of KBR's operations, involving the forecasting of parts needed and the assembly of kits for delivery to the production floor. This process ensures all necessary components are available for customer repairs, streamlining the workflow and minimizing downtime. By accurately forecasting parts needed, between new and repaired, and efficiently managing the kitting process, KBR can deliver timely and effective support for all customer repair needs.
Quality Engineering & Inspections
KBR provides quality assurance services in support of commercial and government customers. Proven experience includes customer site-based quality, quality engineering, First Article Inspections (FAI), and source inspections. KBR delivers a comprehensive suite of quality services tailored to the aerospace and defense sectors, supporting over 550 customers globally.
Source inspections at supplier sites are supported by KBR’s Event Tracking System (KETS) platform and our dispatch/command center for rapid global deployment.
