About Us

KBR has over 50 years of experience supporting National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration missions across the NWS and the National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service. Our work ranges from space and ground segment support to the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES), the Space Weather Follow-on (SWFO) satellite program, the Joint Polar Satellite System and the National Ecological Observatory Network, to rapid deployment of new weather products to Weather Forecast Offices and national centers and statistical modeling at the Meteorological Development Laboratory for storm surge prediction. KBR is also the prime contractor for the National Mesonet Program, delivering millions of non-federal observations to NWS forecasters and modelers nationwide.
