CCUS Experience
Equinor (Formally STATOIL) – Northern Lights
- FEED contract by Equinor for their ground-breaking Northern Lights Project, to develop an onshore carbon dioxide (CO2) storage terminal in Norway
- The engineering scope will address the terminal, import jetty topsides, the CO2re-injection lines and associated utilities
- The first phase of this project will provide storage for up to 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 per year captured from onshore industrial plants in Eastern Norway
North Sea – Dan FG Field
- CO2 CCS with Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
- Pre-FEED studies for 6,000 tonne module to be added to existing platform
- Utilised the expertise of KBR thermodynamic specialists to deliver robust process design
In Salah Gas Project
- Operating since 2004
- 1.15 million tonnes of CO2 removed annually from produced natural gas
- Unit was designed, engineered, constructed and commissioned by KBR
- Largest operating CCS facility in the world at time of completion
KÅRSTØ Gas Processing Facility
- Technology and design development study
- 1 Mtpa CO2 for 420MW gas-fired power plant
- Optimise base case CO2 capture plant for energy ± 40% cost estimate for optimised capture plant
