Wellness & Medical Research
KBR brings together a global network of scientists, engineers and subject matter experts to advance human performance and medical research in high-G forces, high altitudes and other extreme environments. Our teams develop innovative solutions to support military operators, including helmet-mounted displays, remote vision systems and other augmented-reality devices. We apply our expertise in neuroscience, medical physics, MRI technology, data analytics and bioinformatics to strengthen service members’ medical readiness, resilience and cognitive performance.
We also provide advanced data solutions—collecting, transforming and analyzing information to deliver clear visualization and decision-support systems that turn complex data into actionable insights.
Human Performance
KBR delivers human performance and behavioral health services to U.S. Special Operations Command personnel, their units, support staff and families through the Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) contract. We strengthen the physical, mental and emotional resilience of special operations forces while supporting the well-being of their loved ones, ensuring readiness and sustained performance both on and off the battlefield.
JASON McMILLEN
After two decades as a Navy physical therapist, Jason McMillen knew it was time for a new chapter. He'd moved nine times in 20 years and raised two sons who'd done almost as many moves as he had. He’d achieved nearly every professional goal he'd set for himself. Still, when the moment came to hang up his boots, he wanted to make sure he wasn't walking away from purpose. He found a new purpose at KBR, where he draws on his medical experience to identify, hire and mentor professionals who support the health and performance of service members around the world. From physical therapists and strength coaches to psychologists and social workers, he finds the next generation of experts dedicated to human performance – people who want to make a difference for those who serve.

KBR integrates advanced cloud computing with healthcare data sets and helps customers combat clinical and operational health challenges. The results are improved clinical care, health outcomes and scientific research. Our solutions support a variety of federal agencies that enhance medical supply chains, healthcare database systems, human physiology, virtual healthcare, personal health information security, risk assessment, health equity and scientific discovery.
MAUREEN KHAIRALLAH
Khairallah, a strength and conditioning coach for the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade and one of the few women in special operations training for the POTFF contract, joined KBR after spending many years developing exercise programs for Division I athletic teams. Her goal is to find solutions for the challenges service members face each day, whether addressing a routine strain or helping a soldier recover after a mission.
