MRLD

Making Robust Lifecycle Decisions

Making Robust Lifecycle Decision (MRLD or “emerald”) is an intuitive tradespace exploration software with 20-plus visualization tools. Developed collaboratively with the Air Force Research Lab, the MRLD software enables Multi-Attribute Tradespace Exploration (MATE), a scalable decision-analysis methodology. It addresses complex, multi-criteria decisions involving multiple stakeholders, dynamic contexts and uncertain futures where data complexity exceeds human cognitive ability. By evaluating potential solutions, MATE/MRLD provides key insights across various types of problems sets, making it a vital organizational capability.

Key Capabilities

Tradespace Analysis

Intuitive interface guides users through defining a value framework, generating alternative options and exploring data with extensive visualizations.

Existing Model Integration

External data is utilized for analysis, and a standard import option allows existing models to be leveraged.

Real-Time Collaboration

A web-based interface allows multiple users to work on the same project and see updates in real-time.

Value-Based Solutions

Value models capture stakeholder needs and priorities and are used to create a utility score that represents the “goodness” of an alternative.

Shared Understanding

Visualization tools can identify efficient and robust solutions across stakeholders and contexts and allow sensitivity analysis to find trade-offs and understand compromises.
