Overview of KORD's current contracts

AMTC-20-01-213 Program – EAW System

KORD is the LSI on an effort to enhance the GMLRS M30A2 lethality by integrating two upgraded components.

  • Development and demonstration activities include program development and plans, engineering development including technical reviews, integration and test, developmental flight testing, risk reduction activities and earned value management.
  • Key tasks: program management, project scheduling, systems engineering, safety, reliability, cyber, program protection, earned value management, test, lethality analysis and design

AMTC-19-03-071 Program Long Range Fires Prototyping

The Long Range Fires program Prototyping Technologies is a cutting-edge initiative led by the U.S. Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). This effort focuses on advancing long range precision strike capabilities through the development and demonstration of critical subsystems, including aerothermal modeling tools, sensor integration and flight testing for next-generation missile systems.

Power Electronics Module:

  • Supporting AvMC with project and schedule management with the design, development and testing of the Precision Strick Missile (PrSM) Inc. 2 Power Electronics Module (PEM)
  • Development and demonstration activities include program development and plans, engineering development including technical reviews, integration and test, developmental flight testing and risk reduction activities.
  • Key tasks: program management, project scheduling, systems engineering, safety, reliability and cyber

Sensor Fused Weapon (SFW)

The Sensor Fused Weapon (SFW) Program is a cutting-edge initiative under the AvMC’s PrSM Increment 3 Modular Payload Program, focused on enhancing missile lethality and modularity. The program repurposes the Raytheon DeepStrike submunition, currently in development, with minor modifications. This submunition is integrated into the GMLRS/ER missile using a novel dispense technique enabled by the Modular Payload System (MPS).

KORD serves as a subcontractor to Raytheon, providing critical support for the integration of the MPS into the GMLRS/ER missile architecture. Our contributions span both demonstration and tactical configurations, ensuring robust engineering and programmatic execution.

  • Key Tasks: systems engineering, thermal analysis, structural analysis, mechanical and electrical engineering, program management and trade studies
