AI-Enriched Modeling and Simulation

Red Force Response (RFR) is KBR's proof-of-concept decision and training support tool. It integrates AI with wargaming simulation to rapidly predict enemy Course of Action (CoA) and evaluate the effectiveness of friendly orders. Our tool uses Red AI-trained agents that have been developed based on in-game data and reward profiles that reinforce desired behaviors and objectives. It exploits state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms to promote collaboration toward common goals in a multi-agent environment. Our intelligent adversary agent can find both high-performance and novel CoAs based on the reward profile, observations and actions provided to it. The tool is also demonstratively effective at evaluating mission success for different Blue Force CoAs.
