Provide high-performance aircraft pilots, weapon systems officers, and aircrew with the best equipment and methods for fighting G-forces and hypoxia.
KBR and the U.S. Air Force 711th Human Performance Wing are currently looking for volunteers to conduct critical human subject training in the research altitude hypobaric (low pressure) chambers and human centrifuge facilities at KBR’s Aerospace Environment Protection Lab (AEPL).
As a member of the High Altitude Chamber or High-G Acceleration Human Subject Panel, you will receive Hazardous Duty Incentive Pay during months of activity and the satisfaction of aiding in critical Department of Defense research.

Minimum volunteer requirements:
- Active-duty military or Guard/Reserve on active-duty orders
- Recent military retirees with certain altitude training/experience
- Ages: 18 - 55
- Height: 5’0’’- 6’6’’
- Weight: 103 - 245 pounds
Simulation environments can include up to:
- 9G velocity
- 100,000+ feet
- -70°F to 160°F
- 99% humidity

For the past 60 years, KBR's Aerospace Environment Protection Lab (AEPL) at Brooks in San Antonio, Texas, has been the lead research, development, test, and evaluation provider for aircraft and personal high-altitude oxygen and protection systems within the industry and for the Department of Defense and NASA. KBR’s team of aerospace physiologists, engineers, and technicians has a trusted set of experience ready to assist all volunteers throughout the research, test, and evaluation process. KBR has an established record of safely conducting human performance research as well as aircraft and person-mounted life support systems testing for high-altitude, high-performance military, civil, and experimental aircraft.
